1. Fajr

   Yaseen 55–83

   Read the passage · Yaseen 55–83

   إِنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍۢ فَٰكِهُونَ٥٥

   Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -

   هُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ٥٦

   They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.

   لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ٥٧

   For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

   سَلَٰمٌۭ قَوْلًۭا مِّن رَّبٍّۢ رَّحِيمٍۢ٥٨

   [And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.

   وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ٥٩

   [Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.

   ۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ٦٠

   Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -

   وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ٦١

   And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.

   وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّۭا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْقِلُونَ٦٢

   And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?

   هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ٦٣

   This is the Hellfire which you were promised.

   ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ٦٤

   [Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."

   ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ٦٥

   That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.

   وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ٦٦

   And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?

   وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مُضِيًّۭا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ٦٧

   And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.

   وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ٦٨

   And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?

   وَمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ وَقُرْءَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ٦٩

   And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an

   لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّۭا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ٧٠

   To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.

   أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَٰمًۭا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ٧١

   Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?

   وَذَلَّلْنَٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ٧٢

   And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.

   وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ٧٣

   And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?

   وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةًۭ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ٧٤

   But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.

   لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌۭ مُّحْضَرُونَ٧٥

   They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.

   فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ٧٦

   So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.

   أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ٧٧

   Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?

   وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًۭا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌۭ٧٨

   And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"

   قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ٧٩

   Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."

   ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًۭا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ٨٠

   [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.

   أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ٨١

   Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.

   إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ٨٢

   His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.

   فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ٨٣

   So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.

   Read the passage · Al-A'laa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى١

   Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ٢

   Who created and proportioned

   وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ٣

   And who destined and [then] guided

   وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ٤

   And who brings out the pasture

   فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ٥

   And [then] makes it black stubble.

   سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ٦

   We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,

   إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ٧

   Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

   وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ٨

   And We will ease you toward ease.

   فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ٩

   So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

   سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ١٠

   He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

   وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى١١

   But the wretched one will avoid it -

   ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ١٢

   [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

   ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ١٣

   Neither dying therein nor living.

   قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ١٤

   He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

   وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ١٥

   And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

   بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا١٦

   But you prefer the worldly life,

   وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ١٧

   While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

   إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ١٨

   Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

   صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ١٩

   The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

   Read Surah Al-A'laa →

   Read the passage · Al-Ghaashiya

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ١

   Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ٢

   [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

   عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ٣

   Working [hard] and exhausted.

   تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ٤

   They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.

   تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ٥

   They will be given drink from a boiling spring.

   لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ٦

   For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

   لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ٧

   Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ٨

   [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

   لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ٩

   With their effort [they are] satisfied

   فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ١٠

   In an elevated garden,

   لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةًۭ١١

   Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

   فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ١٢

   Within it is a flowing spring.

   فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ١٣

   Within it are couches raised high

   وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ١٤

   And cups put in place

   وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ١٥

   And cushions lined up

   وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ١٦

   And carpets spread around.

   أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ١٧

   Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?

   وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ١٨

   And at the sky - how it is raised?

   وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ١٩

   And at the mountains - how they are erected?

   وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ٢٠

   And at the earth - how it is spread out?

   فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ٢١

   So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

   لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ٢٢

   You are not over them a controller.

   إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ٢٣

   However, he who turns away and disbelieves -

   فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ٢٤

   Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

   إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ٢٥

   Indeed, to Us is their return.

   ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم٢٦

   Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
