How to use the result

This is a north-up direction diagram, not a phone compass. It does not use orientation sensors. A magnetic compass needs a local declination correction to indicate true north.

The calculation uses the initial great-circle bearing on a spherical Earth, toward coordinates 21.422487° N, 39.826206° E. City coordinates are approximate. Close to the Kaaba, or where a bearing is ambiguous, use the mosque’s direction or local guidance.
