1. Fajr

   04:51

   Al-Mursalaat and Al-Burooj

   Read the passage · Al-Mursalaat

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلْمُرْسَلَٰتِ عُرْفًۭا١

   By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

   فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًۭا٢

   And the winds that blow violently

   وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًۭا٣

   And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

   فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًۭا٤

   And those [angels] who bring criterion

   فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا٥

   And those [angels] who deliver a message

   عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا٦

   As justification or warning,

   إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭ٧

   Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

   فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ٨

   So when the stars are obliterated

   وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ٩

   And when the heaven is opened

   وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ١٠

   And when the mountains are blown away

   وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ١١

   And when the messengers' time has come...

   لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ١٢

   For what Day was it postponed?

   لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ١٣

   For the Day of Judgement.

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ١٤

   And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١٥

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٦

   Did We not destroy the former peoples?

   ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ١٧

   Then We will follow them with the later ones.

   كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ١٨

   Thus do We deal with the criminals.

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١٩

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍۢ مَّهِينٍۢ٢٠

   Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?

   فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍۢ مَّكِينٍ٢١

   And We placed it in a firm lodging

   إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ٢٢

   For a known extent.

   فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَ٢٣

   And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٢٤

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا٢٥

   Have We not made the earth a container

   أَحْيَآءًۭ وَأَمْوَٰتًۭا٢٦

   Of the living and the dead?

   وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍۢ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءًۭ فُرَاتًۭا٢٧

   And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٢٨

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ٢٩

   [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.

   ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّۢ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍۢ٣٠

   Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns

   لَّا ظَلِيلٍۢ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ٣١

   [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."

   إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍۢ كَٱلْقَصْرِ٣٢

   Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,

   كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌۭ صُفْرٌۭ٣٣

   As if they were yellowish [black] camels.

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٣٤

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ٣٥

   This is a Day they will not speak,

   وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ٣٦

   Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٣٧

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ٣٨

   This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.

   فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌۭ فَكِيدُونِ٣٩

   So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.

   وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٤٠

   Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ١

   By the sky containing great stars

   وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ٢

   And [by] the promised Day

   وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ٣

   And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,

   قُتِلَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ٤

   Cursed were the companions of the trench

   ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ٥

   [Containing] the fire full of fuel,

   إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۭ٦

   When they were sitting near it

   وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌۭ٧

   And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.

   وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ٨

   And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,

   ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ٩

   To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.

   إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ١٠

   Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

   إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ١١

   Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

   إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ١٢

   Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

   إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ١٣

   Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

   وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ١٤

   And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,

   ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ١٥

   Honorable Owner of the Throne,

   فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ١٦

   Effecter of what He intends.

   هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ١٧

   Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -

   فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ١٨

   [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?

   بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍۢ١٩

   But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,

   وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ٢٠

   While Allah encompasses them from behind.

   بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ٢١

   But this is an honored Qur'an

   فِى لَوْحٍۢ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ٢٢

   [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.

2. Maghrib

   18:21

   Read the passage · Al-Qaari'a

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   ٱلْقَارِعَةُ١

   The Striking Calamity -

   مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ٢

   What is the Striking Calamity?

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ٣

   And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

   يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ٤

   It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,

   وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ٥

   And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.

   فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ٦

   Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

   فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ٧

   He will be in a pleasant life.

   وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ٨

   But as for one whose scales are light,

   فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ٩

   His refuge will be an abyss.

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ١٠

   And what can make you know what that is?

   نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ١١

   It is a Fire, intensely hot.

   Read the passage · Al-Fil

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ١

   Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

   أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍۢ٢

   Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

   وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ٣

   And He sent against them birds in flocks,

   تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍۢ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ٤

   Striking them with stones of hard clay,

   فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍۢ مَّأْكُولٍۭ٥

   And He made them like eaten straw.
