1. Fajr

   As-Saaffaat 75–132

   Read the passage · As-Saaffaat 75–132

   وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌۭ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ٧٥

   And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.

   وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ٧٦

   And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.

   وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ٧٧

   And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]

   وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ٧٨

   And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:

   سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ٧٩

   "Peace upon Noah among the worlds."

   إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ٨٠

   Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

   إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ٨١

   Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.

   ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ٨٢

   Then We drowned the disbelievers.

   ۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ٨٣

   And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,

   إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ٨٤

   When he came to his Lord with a sound heart

   إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ٨٥

   [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?

   أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةًۭ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ٨٦

   Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?

   فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ٨٧

   Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"

   فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةًۭ فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ٨٨

   And he cast a look at the stars

   فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌۭ٨٩

   And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."

   فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ٩٠

   So they turned away from him, departing.

   فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ٩١

   Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?

   مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ٩٢

   What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"

   فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ٩٣

   And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.

   فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ٩٤

   Then the people came toward him, hastening.

   قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ٩٥

   He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,

   وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ٩٦

   While Allah created you and that which you do?"

   قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًۭا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ٩٧

   They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."

   فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ٩٨

   And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.

   وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ٩٩

   And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.

   رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ١٠٠

   My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."

   فَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٍۢ١٠١

   So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.

   فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ١٠٢

   And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."

   فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ١٠٣

   And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,

   وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ١٠٤

   We called to him, "O Abraham,

   قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ١٠٥

   You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

   إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ١٠٦

   Indeed, this was the clear trial.

   وَفَدَيْنَٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ١٠٧

   And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,

   وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ١٠٨

   And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:

   سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ١٠٩

   "Peace upon Abraham."

   كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ١١٠

   Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

   إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١١١

   Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.

   وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ١١٢

   And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.

   وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ١١٣

   And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.

   وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ١١٤

   And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron.

2. Maghrib

   18:13

   Read the passage · Al-Infitaar

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ١

   When the sky breaks apart

   وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ٢

   And when the stars fall, scattering,

   وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ٣

   And when the seas are erupted

   وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ٤

   And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

   عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ٥

   A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

   يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ٦

   O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ٧

   Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

   فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ٨

   In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

   كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ٩

   No! But you deny the Recompense.

   وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ١٠

   And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,

   كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ١١

   Noble and recording;

   يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ١٢

   They know whatever you do.

   إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ١٣

   Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

   وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ١٤

   And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

   يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ١٥

   They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

   وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ١٦

   And never therefrom will they be absent.

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ١٧

   And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

   ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ١٨

   Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

   يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ١٩

   It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.

3. Isha

   19:43

   Read the passage · Al-Furqaan 35–52

   وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ وَزِيرًۭا٣٥

   And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.

   فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًۭا٣٦

   And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.

   وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا٣٧

   And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

   وَعَادًۭا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًۭا٣٨

   And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.

   وَكُلًّۭا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًۭا٣٩

   And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.

   وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًۭا٤٠

   And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.

   وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا٤١

   And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?

   إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا٤٢

   He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

   أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا٤٣

   Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?

   أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا٤٤

   Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.

   أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًۭا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًۭا٤٥

   Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.

   ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًۭا يَسِيرًۭا٤٦

   Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp.

   وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًۭا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًۭا٤٧

   And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.

   وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ طَهُورًۭا٤٨

   And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

   لِّنُحْۦِىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَٰمًۭا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًۭا٤٩

   That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.

   وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًۭا٥٠

   And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

   وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍۢ نَّذِيرًۭا٥١

   And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.

   فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ وَجَٰهِدْهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادًۭا كَبِيرًۭا٥٢

   So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.
