   Read the passage · Aal-i-Imraan 59–80

   إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ ءَادَمَ ۖ خَلَقَهُۥ مِن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ٥٩

   Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.

   ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ٦٠

   The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.

   فَمَنْ حَآجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا۟ نَدْعُ أَبْنَآءَنَا وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَنِسَآءَنَا وَنِسَآءَكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ٦١

   Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you - say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]."

   إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْقَصَصُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ٦٢

   Indeed, this is the true narration. And there is no deity except Allah. And indeed, Allah is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

   فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ٦٣

   But if they turn away, then indeed - Allah is Knowing of the corrupters.

   قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍۢ سَوَآءٍۭ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًۭا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُولُوا۟ ٱشْهَدُوا۟ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ٦٤

   Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."

   يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَتِ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ وَٱلْإِنجِيلُ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ٦٥

   O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Then will you not reason?

   هَٰٓأَنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ حَٰجَجْتُمْ فِيمَا لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ فَلِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ٦٦

   Here you are - those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not.

   مَا كَانَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ يَهُودِيًّۭا وَلَا نَصْرَانِيًّۭا وَلَٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفًۭا مُّسْلِمًۭا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ٦٧

   Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists.

   إِنَّ أَوْلَى ٱلنَّاسِ بِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَٰذَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ٦٨

   Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet, and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the ally of the believers.

   وَدَّت طَّآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَوْ يُضِلُّونَكُمْ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ٦٩

   A faction of the people of the Scripture wish they could mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive [it] not.

   يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ٧٠

   O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while you witness [to their truth]?

   يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ٧١

   O People of the Scripture, why do you confuse the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know [it]?

   وَقَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَجْهَ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱكْفُرُوٓا۟ ءَاخِرَهُۥ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ٧٢

   And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will abandon their religion,

   وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِمَن تَبِعَ دِينَكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْهُدَىٰ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ أَن يُؤْتَىٰٓ أَحَدٌۭ مِّثْلَ مَآ أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَآجُّوكُمْ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ٧٣

   And do not trust except those who follow your religion." Say, "Indeed, the [true] guidance is the guidance of Allah. [Do you fear] lest someone be given [knowledge] like you were given or that they would [thereby] argue with you before your Lord?" Say, "Indeed, [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah - He grants it to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Wise."

   يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ٧٤

   He selects for His mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

   ۞ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنطَارٍۢ يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَارٍۢ لَّا يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ إِلَيْكَ إِلَّا مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَآئِمًۭا ۗ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِى ٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ سَبِيلٌۭ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ٧٥

   And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, "There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it].

   بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِۦ وَٱتَّقَىٰ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ٧٦

   But yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah - then indeed, Allah loves those who fear Him.

   إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَا خَلَٰقَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا يَنظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ٧٧

   Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment.

   وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًۭا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ٧٨

   And indeed, there is among them a party who alter the Scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the Scripture. And they say, "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. And they speak untruth about Allah while they know.

   مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا۟ عِبَادًۭا لِّى مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُوا۟ رَبَّٰنِيِّۦنَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ٧٩

   It is not for a human [prophet] that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allah," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."

   وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَن تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ أَرْبَابًا ۗ أَيَأْمُرُكُم بِٱلْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ٨٠

   Nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as lords. Would he order you to disbelief after you had been Muslims?

2. Maghrib

   18:26

   Read the passage · Al-Infitaar

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ١

   When the sky breaks apart

   وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ٢

   And when the stars fall, scattering,

   وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ٣

   And when the seas are erupted

   وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ٤

   And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

   عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ٥

   A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

   يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ٦

   O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ٧

   Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

   فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ٨

   In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

   كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ٩

   No! But you deny the Recompense.

   وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ١٠

   And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,

   كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ١١

   Noble and recording;

   يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ١٢

   They know whatever you do.

   إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ١٣

   Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

   وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ١٤

   And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

   يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ١٥

   They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

   وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ١٦

   And never therefrom will they be absent.

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ١٧

   And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

   ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ١٨

   Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

   يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ١٩

   It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.

   Read the passage · Az-Zalzala

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا١

   When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake

   وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا٢

   And the earth discharges its burdens

   وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا٣

   And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -

   يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا٤

   That Day, it will report its news

   بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا٥

   Because your Lord has commanded it.

   يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًۭا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ٦

   That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.

   فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ٧

   So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,

   وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ٨

   And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.

   19:56

   Read the passage · At-Takwir

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ١

   When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]

   وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ٢

   And when the stars fall, dispersing,

   وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ٣

   And when the mountains are removed

   وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ٤

   And when full-term she-camels are neglected

   وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ٥

   And when the wild beasts are gathered

   وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ٦

   And when the seas are filled with flame

   وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ٧

   And when the souls are paired

   وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ٨

   And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked

   بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ٩

   For what sin she was killed

   وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ١٠

   And when the pages are made public

   وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ١١

   And when the sky is stripped away

   وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ١٢

   And when Hellfire is set ablaze

   وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ١٣

   And when Paradise is brought near,

   عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ١٤

   A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].

   فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ١٥

   So I swear by the retreating stars -

   ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ١٦

   Those that run [their courses] and disappear -

   وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ١٧

   And by the night as it closes in

   وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ١٨

   And by the dawn when it breathes

   إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ١٩

   [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger

   ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ٢٠

   [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],

   مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ٢١

   Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.

   وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ٢٢

   And your companion is not [at all] mad.

   وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ٢٣

   And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.

   وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ٢٤

   And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.

   وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ٢٥

   And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].

   فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ٢٦

   So where are you going?

   إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ٢٧

   It is not except a reminder to the worlds

   لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ٢٨

   For whoever wills among you to take a right course.

   وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ٢٩

   And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.

   Read the passage · Ad-Dhuhaa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلضُّحَىٰ١

   By the morning brightness

   وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ٢

   And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

   مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ٣

   Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

   وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ٤

   And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

   وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ٥

   And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

   أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ٦

   Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

   وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ٧

   And He found you lost and guided [you],

   وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ٨

   And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

   فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ٩

   So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

   وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ١٠

   And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

   وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ١١

   But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
