1. Fajr

   Read the passage · Al-Qalam

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ١

   Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe,

   مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۢ٢

   You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.

   وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۢ٣

   And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted.

   وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ٤

   And indeed, you are of a great moral character.

   فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ٥

   So you will see and they will see

   بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلْمَفْتُونُ٦

   Which of you is the afflicted [by a devil].

   إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ٧

   Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has gone astray from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.

   فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٨

   Then do not obey the deniers.

   وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ٩

   They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].

   وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍۢ مَّهِينٍ١٠

   And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer

   هَمَّازٍۢ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍۢ١١

   [And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -

   مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ١٢

   A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,

   عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ١٣

   Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.

   أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ١٤

   Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,

   إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٥

   When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."

   سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ١٦

   We will brand him upon the snout.

   إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ١٧

   Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning

   وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ١٨

   Without making exception.

   فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ١٩

   So there came upon the garden an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.

   فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَٱلصَّرِيمِ٢٠

   And it became as though reaped.

   فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ٢١

   And they called one another at morning,

   أَنِ ٱغْدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰرِمِينَ٢٢

   [Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit."

   فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ٢٣

   So they set out, while lowering their voices,

   أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌۭ٢٤

   [Saying], "There will surely not enter it today upon you [any] poor person."

   وَغَدَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍۢ قَٰدِرِينَ٢٥

   And they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.

   فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ٢٦

   But when they saw it, they said, "Indeed, we are lost;

   بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ٢٧

   Rather, we have been deprived."

   قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ٢٨

   The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [Allah]?' "

   قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ٢٩

   They said, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."

   فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ٣٠

   Then they approached one another, blaming each other.

   قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَٰغِينَ٣١

   They said, "O woe to us; indeed we were transgressors.

   عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ٣٢

   Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."

   كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ٣٣

   Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

   إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ٣٤

   Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure.

   أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ٣٥

   Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals?

   مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ٣٦

   What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge?

   أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَٰبٌۭ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ٣٧

   Or do you have a scripture in which you learn

   إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ٣٨

   That indeed for you is whatever you choose?

   أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ٣٩

   Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge?

   سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ٤٠

   Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible.

   17:37

   Ad-Dhuhaa and At-Tin

   Read the passage · Ad-Dhuhaa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلضُّحَىٰ١

   By the morning brightness

   وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ٢

   And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

   مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ٣

   Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

   وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ٤

   And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

   وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ٥

   And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

   أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ٦

   Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

   وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ٧

   And He found you lost and guided [you],

   وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ٨

   And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

   فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ٩

   So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

   وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ١٠

   And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

   وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ١١

   But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].

   Read the passage · At-Tin

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ١

   By the fig and the olive

   وَطُورِ سِينِينَ٢

   And [by] Mount Sinai

   وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ٣

   And [by] this secure city [Makkah],

   لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ٤

   We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

   ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ٥

   Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

   إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ٦

   Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

   فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ٧

   So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

   أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ٨

   Is not Allah the most just of judges?
