   Read the passage · Ad-Dhuhaa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلضُّحَىٰ١

   By the morning brightness

   وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ٢

   And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

   مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ٣

   Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

   وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ٤

   And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

   وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ٥

   And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

   أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ٦

   Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

   وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ٧

   And He found you lost and guided [you],

   وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ٨

   And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

   فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ٩

   So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

   وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ١٠

   And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

   وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ١١

   But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ١

   Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?

   وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ٢

   And We removed from you your burden

   ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ٣

   Which had weighed upon your back

   وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ٤

   And raised high for you your repute.

   فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا٥

   For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

   إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا٦

   Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

   فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ٧

   So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].

   وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب٨

   And to your Lord direct [your] longing.

   Read the passage · Aal-i-Imraan 130–144

   يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَأْكُلُوا۟ ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟ أَضْعَٰفًۭا مُّضَٰعَفَةًۭ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ١٣٠

   O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful.

   وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ١٣١

   And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers.

   وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ١٣٢

   And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy.

   ۞ وَسَارِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ١٣٣

   And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous

   ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلْكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ وَٱلْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ١٣٤

   Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;

   وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا۟ فَٰحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسْتَغْفَرُوا۟ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَن يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ١٣٥

   And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.

   أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ ٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ١٣٦

   Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.

   قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌۭ فَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١٣٧

   Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied.

   هَٰذَا بَيَانٌۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدًۭى وَمَوْعِظَةٌۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ١٣٨

   This [Qur'an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah.

   وَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ١٣٩

   So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.

   إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌۭ فَقَدْ مَسَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌۭ مِّثْلُهُۥ ۚ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَآءَ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ١٤٠

   If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers -

   وَلِيُمَحِّصَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَمْحَقَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ١٤١

   And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers.

   أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ١٤٢

   Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?

   وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ ٱلْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ١٤٣

   And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on.

   وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ ۚ أَفَإِي۟ن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَٰبِكُمْ ۚ وَمَن يَنقَلِبْ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ ٱللَّهَ شَيْـًۭٔا ۗ وَسَيَجْزِى ٱللَّهُ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ١٤٤

   Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.
