1. Fajr

   04:36

   Al-Qiyaama and At-Taariq

   Read the passage · Al-Qiyaama

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ١

   I swear by the Day of Resurrection

   وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ٢

   And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].

   أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ٣

   Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?

   بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ٤

   Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.

   بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ٥

   But man desires to continue in sin.

   يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ٦

   He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"

   فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ٧

   So when vision is dazzled

   وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ٨

   And the moon darkens

   وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ٩

   And the sun and the moon are joined,

   يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ١٠

   Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"

   كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ١١

   No! There is no refuge.

   إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ١٢

   To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.

   يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ١٣

   Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.

   بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌۭ١٤

   Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,

   وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ١٥

   Even if he presents his excuses.

   لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ١٦

   Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.

   إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ١٧

   Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.

   فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ١٨

   So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.

   ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ١٩

   Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].

   كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ٢٠

   No! But you love the immediate

   وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ٢١

   And leave the Hereafter.

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاضِرَةٌ٢٢

   [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,

   إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌۭ٢٣

   Looking at their Lord.

   وَوُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌۭ٢٤

   And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted,

   تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌۭ٢٥

   Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking.

   كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ٢٦

   No! When the soul has reached the collar bones

   وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍۢ٢٧

   And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?"

   وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ٢٨

   And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation

   وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ٢٩

   And the leg is wound about the leg,

   إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ٣٠

   To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.

   فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ٣١

   And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed.

   وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ٣٢

   But [instead], he denied and turned away.

   ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ٣٣

   And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].

   أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ٣٤

   Woe to you, and woe!

   ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ٣٥

   Then woe to you, and woe!

   أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى٣٦

   Does man think that he will be left neglected?

   أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةًۭ مِّن مَّنِىٍّۢ يُمْنَىٰ٣٧

   Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?

   ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةًۭ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ٣٨

   Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]

   فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ٣٩

   And made of him two mates, the male and the female.

   أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْۦِىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ٤٠

   Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?

   Read the passage · At-Taariq

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ١

   By the sky and the night comer -

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ٢

   And what can make you know what is the night comer?

   ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ٣

   It is the piercing star -

   إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ٤

   There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

   فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ٥

   So let man observe from what he was created.

   خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍۢ دَافِقٍۢ٦

   He was created from a fluid, ejected,

   يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ٧

   Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

   إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌۭ٨

   Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.

   يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ٩

   The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

   فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍۢ وَلَا نَاصِرٍۢ١٠

   Then man will have no power or any helper.

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ١١

   By the sky which returns [rain]

   وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ١٢

   And [by] the earth which cracks open,

   إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ١٣

   Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,

   وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ١٤

   And it is not amusement.

   إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا١٥

   Indeed, they are planning a plan,

   وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًۭا١٦

   But I am planning a plan.

   فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا١٧

   So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.

   Read the passage · Al-A'laa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى١

   Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ٢

   Who created and proportioned

   وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ٣

   And who destined and [then] guided

   وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ٤

   And who brings out the pasture

   فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ٥

   And [then] makes it black stubble.

   سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ٦

   We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,

   إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ٧

   Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

   وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ٨

   And We will ease you toward ease.

   فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ٩

   So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

   سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ١٠

   He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

   وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى١١

   But the wretched one will avoid it -

   ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ١٢

   [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

   ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ١٣

   Neither dying therein nor living.

   قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ١٤

   He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

   وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ١٥

   And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

   بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا١٦

   But you prefer the worldly life,

   وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ١٧

   While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

   إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ١٨

   Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

   صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ١٩

   The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

   Read Surah Al-A'laa →

   Read the passage · Al-Ghaashiya

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ١

   Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ٢

   [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

   عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ٣

   Working [hard] and exhausted.

   تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ٤

   They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.

   تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ٥

   They will be given drink from a boiling spring.

   لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ٦

   For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

   لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ٧

   Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ٨

   [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

   لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ٩

   With their effort [they are] satisfied

   فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ١٠

   In an elevated garden,

   لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةًۭ١١

   Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

   فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ١٢

   Within it is a flowing spring.

   فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ١٣

   Within it are couches raised high

   وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ١٤

   And cups put in place

   وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ١٥

   And cushions lined up

   وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ١٦

   And carpets spread around.

   أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ١٧

   Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?

   وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ١٨

   And at the sky - how it is raised?

   وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ١٩

   And at the mountains - how they are erected?

   وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ٢٠

   And at the earth - how it is spread out?

   فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ٢١

   So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

   لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ٢٢

   You are not over them a controller.

   إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ٢٣

   However, he who turns away and disbelieves -

   فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ٢٤

   Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

   إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ٢٥

   Indeed, to Us is their return.

   ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم٢٦

   Then indeed, upon Us is their account.

   Read the passage · Al-A'laa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى١

   Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ٢

   Who created and proportioned

   وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ٣

   وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ٤

   إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ٢٣

   However, he who turns away and disbelieves -

   فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ٢٤

   Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

   إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ٢٥

   Indeed, to Us is their return.

   ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم٢٦

   18:54

   An-Nasr and Al-Ikhlaas

   Read the passage · An-Nasr

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ١

   When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,

   وَرَأَيْتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًۭا٢

   And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,

   فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابًۢا٣

   Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.

   Read Surah An-Nasr →

   Read the passage · Al-Ikhlaas

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ١

   Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

   ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ٢

   Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

   لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ٣

   He neither begets nor is born,

   وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ٤

   Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

4. Isha

   20:24

   Al-Humaza and Al-Maa'un

   Read the passage · Al-Humaza

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ١

   Woe to every scorner and mocker

   ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًۭا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ٢

   Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

   يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ٣

   He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

   كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ٤

   No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ٥

   And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

   نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ٦

   It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

   ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ٧

   Which mounts directed at the hearts.

   إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ٨

   Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

   فِى عَمَدٍۢ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ٩

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ١

   Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

   فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ٢

   For that is the one who drives away the orphan

   وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ٣

   And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

   فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ٤

   So woe to those who pray

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ٥

   [But] who are heedless of their prayer -

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ٦

   Those who make show [of their deeds]

   وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ٧

   And withhold [simple] assistance.
