   Yunus 96–109

   Read the passage · Yunus 96–109

   إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ٩٦

   Indeed, those upon whom the word of your Lord has come into effect will not believe,

   وَلَوْ جَآءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ ءَايَةٍ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ٩٧

   Even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment.

   فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ٩٨

   Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time.

   وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَءَامَنَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعًا ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُكْرِهُ ٱلنَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ٩٩

   And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers?

   وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تُؤْمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ١٠٠

   And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason.

   قُلِ ٱنظُرُوا۟ مَاذَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا تُغْنِى ٱلْءَايَٰتُ وَٱلنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٍۢ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ١٠١

   Say, "Observe what is in the heavens and earth." But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe

   فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلَّا مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ١٠٢

   So do they wait except for like [what occurred in] the days of those who passed on before them? Say, "Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

   ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى رُسُلَنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنجِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١٠٣

   Then We will save our messengers and those who have believed. Thus, it is an obligation upon Us that We save the believers

   قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّن دِينِى فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١٠٤

   Say, [O Muhammad], "O people, if you are in doubt as to my religion - then I do not worship those which you worship besides Allah; but I worship Allah, who causes your death. And I have been commanded to be of the believers

   وَأَنْ أَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًۭا وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ١٠٥

   And [commanded], 'Direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth, and never be of those who associate others with Allah;

   وَلَا تَدْعُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِن فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًۭا مِّنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ١٠٦

   And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers.'"

   وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّۢ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍۢ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضْلِهِۦ ۚ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ١٠٧

   And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful

   قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍۢ١٠٨

   Say, "O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not over you a manager."

   وَٱتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَٱصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ١٠٩

   And follow what is revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and be patient until Allah will judge. And He is the best of judges.

2. Maghrib

   17:49

   At-Taariq and At-Takaathur

   Read the passage · At-Taariq

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ١

   By the sky and the night comer -

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ٢

   And what can make you know what is the night comer?

   ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ٣

   It is the piercing star -

   إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ٤

   There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

   فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ٥

   So let man observe from what he was created.

   خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍۢ دَافِقٍۢ٦

   He was created from a fluid, ejected,

   يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ٧

   Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

   إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌۭ٨

   Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.

   يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ٩

   The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

   فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍۢ وَلَا نَاصِرٍۢ١٠

   Then man will have no power or any helper.

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ١١

   By the sky which returns [rain]

   وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ١٢

   And [by] the earth which cracks open,

   إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ١٣

   Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,

   وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ١٤

   And it is not amusement.

   إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا١٥

   Indeed, they are planning a plan,

   وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًۭا١٦

   But I am planning a plan.

   فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا١٧

   So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.

   Read the passage · At-Takaathur

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ١

   Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

   حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ٢

   Until you visit the graveyards.

   كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ٣

   No! You are going to know.

   ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ٤

   Then no! You are going to know.

   كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ٥

   No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...

   لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ٦

   You will surely see the Hellfire.

   ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ٧

   Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

   ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ٨

   Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.

3. Isha

   19:19

   Read the passage · Al-Muminoon 97–118

   وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَٰتِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ٩٧

   And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils,

   وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ٩٨

   And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me."

   حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ٱرْجِعُونِ٩٩

   [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back

   لَعَلِّىٓ أَعْمَلُ صَٰلِحًۭا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّآ ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ١٠٠

   That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.

   فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَلَآ أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَلَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ١٠١

   So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another.

   فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ١٠٢

   And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful.

   وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فِى جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ١٠٣

   But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally.

   تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَٰلِحُونَ١٠٤

   The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles.

   أَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ١٠٥

   [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?"

   قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًۭا ضَآلِّينَ١٠٦

   They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.

   رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ١٠٧

   Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."

   قَالَ ٱخْسَـُٔوا۟ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ١٠٨

   He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.

   إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْ عِبَادِى يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ١٠٩

   Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.'

   فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ١١٠

   But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

   إِنِّى جَزَيْتُهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ١١١

   Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."

   قَٰلَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ١١٢

   [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?"

   قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍۢ فَسْـَٔلِ ٱلْعَآدِّينَ١١٣

   They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."

   قَٰلَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ١١٤

   He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known.

   أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ عَبَثًۭا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ١١٥

   Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"

   فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْكَرِيمِ١١٦

   So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

   وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرْهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ١١٧

   And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

   وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ١١٨

   And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."
