   Read the passage · Aal-i-Imraan 102–115

   يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ١٠٢

   O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].

   وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبْلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟ ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَآءًۭ فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓ إِخْوَٰنًۭا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ١٠٣

   And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.

   وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌۭ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ١٠٤

   And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.

   وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُوا۟ وَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ١٠٥

   And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment.

   يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌۭ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌۭ ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكَفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَٰنِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ١٠٦

   On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."

   وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱبْيَضَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فَفِى رَحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ١٠٧

   But as for those whose faces will turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein eternally.

   تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًۭا لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ١٠٨

   These are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you, [O Muhammad], in truth; and Allah wants no injustice to the worlds.

   وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ١٠٩

   To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah will [all] matters be returned.

   كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ ۗ وَلَوْ ءَامَنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًۭا لَّهُم ۚ مِّنْهُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ١١٠

   You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.

   لَن يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلَّآ أَذًۭى ۖ وَإِن يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ ٱلْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ١١١

   They will not harm you except for [some] annoyance. And if they fight you, they will show you their backs; then they will not be aided.

   ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوٓا۟ إِلَّا بِحَبْلٍۢ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَحَبْلٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍۢ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَسْكَنَةُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ١١٢

   They have been put under humiliation [by Allah] wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.

   ۞ لَيْسُوا۟ سَوَآءًۭ ۗ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أُمَّةٌۭ قَآئِمَةٌۭ يَتْلُونَ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ١١٣

   They are not [all] the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer].

   يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ١١٤

   They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and hasten to good deeds. And those are among the righteous.

   وَمَا يَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَلَن يُكْفَرُوهُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلْمُتَّقِينَ١١٥

   And whatever good they do - never will it be removed from them. And Allah is Knowing of the righteous.

   Read the passage · Al-A'laa

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى١

   Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ٢

   Who created and proportioned

   وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ٣

   And who destined and [then] guided

   وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ٤

   And who brings out the pasture

   فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ٥

   And [then] makes it black stubble.

   سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ٦

   We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,

   إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ٧

   Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

   وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ٨

   And We will ease you toward ease.

   فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ٩

   So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

   سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ١٠

   He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

   وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى١١

   But the wretched one will avoid it -

   ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ١٢

   [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

   ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ١٣

   Neither dying therein nor living.

   قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ١٤

   He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

   وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ١٥

   And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

   بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا١٦

   But you prefer the worldly life,

   وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ١٧

   While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

   إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ١٨

   Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

   صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ١٩

   The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

   Read the passage · Al-Ghaashiya

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ١

   Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ٢

   [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

   عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ٣

   Working [hard] and exhausted.

   تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ٤

   They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.

   تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ٥

   They will be given drink from a boiling spring.

   لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ٦

   For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

   لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ٧

   Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.

   وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ٨

   [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

   لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ٩

   With their effort [they are] satisfied

   فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ١٠

   In an elevated garden,

   لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةًۭ١١

   Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

   فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ١٢

   Within it is a flowing spring.

   فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ١٣

   Within it are couches raised high

   وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ١٤

   And cups put in place

   وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ١٥

   And cushions lined up

   وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ١٦

   And carpets spread around.

   أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ١٧

   Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?

   وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ١٨

   And at the sky - how it is raised?

   وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ١٩

   And at the mountains - how they are erected?

   وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ٢٠

   And at the earth - how it is spread out?

   فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ٢١

   So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

   لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ٢٢

   You are not over them a controller.

   إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ٢٣

   However, he who turns away and disbelieves -

   فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ٢٤

   Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

   إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ٢٥

   Indeed, to Us is their return.

   ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم٢٦

   Then indeed, upon Us is their account.

   18:27

   Read the passage · Ash-Shams

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا١

   By the sun and its brightness

   وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا٢

   And [by] the moon when it follows it

   وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا٣

   And [by] the day when it displays it

   وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا٤

   And [by] the night when it covers it

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا٥

   And [by] the sky and He who constructed it

   وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا٦

   And [by] the earth and He who spread it

   وَنَفْسٍۢ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا٧

   And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it

   فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا٨

   And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,

   قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا٩

   He has succeeded who purifies it,

   وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا١٠

   And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].

   كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ١١

   Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,

   إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا١٢

   When the most wretched of them was sent forth.

   فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَٰهَا١٣

   And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."

   فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا١٤

   But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].

   وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَٰهَا١٥

   And He does not fear the consequence thereof.

   Read the passage · Ash-Sharh

   بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ١

   Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?

   وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ٢

   And We removed from you your burden

   ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ٣

   Which had weighed upon your back

   وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ٤

   And raised high for you your repute.

   فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا٥

   For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

   إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا٦

   Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

   فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ٧

   So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].

   وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب٨

   And to your Lord direct [your] longing.

4. Isha

   19:57

   Read the passage · Al-Muminoon 101–118

   فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَلَآ أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَلَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ١٠١

   So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another.

   فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ١٠٢

   And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful.

   وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فِى جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ١٠٣

   But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally.

   تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَٰلِحُونَ١٠٤

   The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles.

   أَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ١٠٥

   [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?"

   قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًۭا ضَآلِّينَ١٠٦

   They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.

   رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ١٠٧

   Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."

   قَالَ ٱخْسَـُٔوا۟ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ١٠٨

   He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.

   إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْ عِبَادِى يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ١٠٩

   Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.'

   فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ١١٠

   But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

   إِنِّى جَزَيْتُهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ١١١

   Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."

   قَٰلَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ١١٢

   [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?"

   قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍۢ فَسْـَٔلِ ٱلْعَآدِّينَ١١٣

   They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."

   قَٰلَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ١١٤

   He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known.

   أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ عَبَثًۭا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ١١٥

   Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"

   فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْكَرِيمِ١١٦

   So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

   وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرْهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ١١٧

   And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

   وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ١١٨

   And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."
